Cinnamon Bark
Medicinal Properties & Benefits:
- Analgesic, Anti (bacterial, depressant, fungal, inflammatory, microbial, oxidant, parasitic, rheumatic, septic, spasmodic, viral)
- Aphrodisiac, Astringent, Carminative, Cleansing, Detoxifying
- Emmenagogue (increases menstrual flow), Energizing Expectorant, Immune-Boosting
- Immunostimulant, Metabolism-Boosting, Stimulating, Stomachic, Tonic
- Vermifuge (intestinal medication for worms), Warming
Applications:
Aromatically: Use 3-4 drops in the glass diffuser of your choice to permiate the atmosphere a spicy, warm, sweet, comforting aroma. Diffuse with caution; it may irritate the nasal membranes if it is inhaled directly from a diffuser.
Internally: Dilute 1 drop in 4 fl. oz of liquid. Some additonal ways to ingest this oil are:
- Place 2 drops in empty veggie capsule to maintain a healthy immune system
- Place one drop in hot water or tea and drink slowly to soothe your irritated throat
- Add one drop to a small amount of water and gargle for an effective mouth rinse.
Topically: Dilute 1 drop essential oil to 10 drops carrier oil (1:10) of your choice to minimize
skin sensitivity. See additional precautions below.
- Dilute with a carrier oil and create a warming massage for cold, achy joints during winter time.
- Add 2-3 drops in a glass spray bottle for a quick and effective cleaning spray.
